A think tank that works diligently to do more than just think.....It's time for ACTION!
The Uhuru Family Initiative’s (UFI) mission is to unite community members, activist, organizers, formerly incarcerated men and women, children, Africans (whom immigrated from continental Africa), and concerned citizens who strive to share their common truths while creating culturally transformational opportunities focused on creating leadership and organizational structure within the Black community.
The Board of Directors and the Administrative Committee of APIS adopts a policy complying with all applicable laws and regulations regarding discrimination, thus not engaging in unlawful discrimination in violation of any federal, state, or county law, regulation, or ordinance or in violation of a municipal ordinance in any municipality where UFI’s conducts any part of its activities.
Furthermore, opportunities for staff employment and for membership on the governing board or committees within UFI will be available and open for all official members without regard to race, age, ethnicity, religion, color, gender, handicap, marital status, national origin, cultural differences, ancestry, physical appearance, arrest or conviction record, military record, income level, or political position. However the effectiveness of UFI’s leadership is hinged upon the people’s connection to and relationship with the cultural sensibilities of the people in the Black community here in America and around the globe.
